Pros & Cons
Pros
Preformed as expected and much like the other api test kits. Always reliable and accurate. Will purchase again. Api is the best!
Cons
Too inaccurate for a reef aquarium. Directions say to put drops in water and it will turn blue, then yellow after adding drops. Api customer service is non-existent.
Highlights
Quality
Very good quality, consistent kh test kit.
Easy to use and position and lasts as advertised about 2 weeks.
The more acidic the water becomes, the more toxic to the fish the ammonia becomes as well.
Couldn't measure hardness of my water, had to put like 500 drops and color didn't change.
Price
Best for the price easy to read
Can't find this anywhere else and the price is amazing!
For the price is good, for use weeks, not is exact but works.
Just the regent required to run the digital test is more costly the api test kit.
Shipping
I received it fast and it is great!
Packaging/appearance
The only reason i gave it a 4 is that the packaging should be better.
The kh box was open and the vial was loose in the padded envelope and i feel lucky it wasn't broken.
The only problem was that the package was squished, but nothing was damaged, so no other problems.
Competitiveness
Seem to work consistently compared to local fish store testing.
You know the brand and its annoying tendencies.
Not some color comparison to a scale which everyone gets wrong.
