Pros

These are nice cards, semi-gloss finish, 45 per pre-packaged deck, 180 total. Great cards to get for a mock game.

Sharpie works great on these, dries and doesn't smear. Sharpies work perfectly with no smearing. Even permanent markers tend to float on the finishing but paint markers without extensive layering and allowed to dry works nice.

These cards are great for simple designs or text but complex coloring and shading is difficult to achieve. Ballpoint or gel pens are prone to rubbing off onto the back of other cards, but that is more of an ink issue than problem with these cards.

They shuffle decently, not as perfect as regular playing cards but easily enough. They feel stiffer than say bicycle cards, so they are a bit harder to shuffle. It’s thick but shuffles very well.

Cons

Two-star points off inaccurate advertising. The cards come with a slick coating which doesn't meet the definition of matte. These cards are not worth it for magicians.

If you try to do any shading either immediately after or later, the ink smudges. It smears immediately, it smears if i let it dry.
