It functions as well as my higher spec'd mac, and has a much greater battery life (around 3 times longer than my 2009 mac).

A fabulous product which is as fast as the macbook pro i wanted to replace.
It is so so easy to use, so quick to pick up on all the new techniques and it is ridiculously fast at performing tasks.
Packaging/appearance
Effortlessly transfered the contents of my old macbook using time machine.
From the exterior it looks very worn especially the edges of the screen.
Competitiveness
8ghz i7 with a 128gb hard drive and 4gb ram, and compared to my 2 year old 2.
The 128gb ssd might feel small, but is perfect for this form factor.

I bought this for my fiance and i am jealous that she has this now because it makes my own macbook look like a clunky dated piece of hardware from the last century

The local apple store have been great in helping migrate my work contacts diaries over from my windows laptop and i would recommend taking out an 1 year one to one subscription to help familiarise ones self with the apple os and apps

If one did want to continue to use say ms office this can of course be purchased in a mac version and if one wanted to use win 7 this can be installed alongside os lion and accessed from boot camp

Also their is no dvd drive which you would expect just it means i had to buy ms office again and you cant play any movies unless you download them

In addition i have done some light gaming and graphics work using sketchup etc and have not yet been able to detect any slow down
