I looked at the 12 inch macbook as well but decided to go with the 11 inch air as it is a better deal if you want it all maxed out.

I found a new copy on ebay for $169 with shipping.

Top all of that off with 512gb ssd.
My wife's macbook pro 2009 edition just up and died.

I dont believe there was a 2016 version so if you want a good deal on a macbook air there are still unsold new 2015s around on amazon apple refurbished and many other sites
