Pros

Bought for my 8 year old grandson. Gave my old one to the grandkids. Would not go sailing without it. Bought for my granddaughter.

As newer gen ipads rollout, some of these older gens are great for kiddos at a lower cost. Would recommend over the more expensive newest version.

It's very durable and the weight is so nice and feels great when you’re holding it. Its a13 chip really shines, super fast performance and battery life is insane. It is still solid and gets the job done for browsing, the occasional game, and videos.

Cons

Display is lcd and won't stand up to magnification. The ipad just freezes or will not allow you to make it to the next screen. Can not activate.

Do not buy a refurbished ipad from amazon. Don't trust anything sold by amazon resale/warehouse. Contemplating returning it.

The price is right, and this does everything that i need it to do.

Brand new ipad 9 was a great price to replace my ipad 7 that suddenly died and not able to bring it back.

But if you understand that going in, it's a great product at a great price.
