My biggest complaint which i cant say about many apple products is build quality im averaging one of these adaptors a year my macbook is used every day for work so it sees heavy use being constantly taken in and out of bags but im not the only one to have issues either the cable splits open or the magsafe connection stops registering properly and it then wont charge the laptop even after carefully cleaning the contacts on both the macbook socket and magsafe plug

Hopefully this one lasts just as long as my old one and being a genuine apple product i dont see why this one wont

I am aware that there are cheaper off brand versions available but after hearing a lot of horror stories about them causing fires and expensive damage to laptops i opted to buy the genuine article even though it is overpriced and not nearly as durable as it should be

Its an apple product specific for macbook pros 15 or 17inch prior to retina models
