Pros
Apple is including a small sleeve-type case, to help you protect your new ipod. Only a few scratches are visible on the chrome side because i hadn't gotten a case for it.
The ipod is definitly worth the money. Overall, i the unit i received is as advertised and it works as i expect a refurbished ipod would work.
Going from a to z, when there's hunderds of choices, is really taxing. It is a bit annoying, but tolerable. Software developers frantically scrambling to solve this.

Cons
The interface hangs indefinitely. After less than two years use it completely crashed. Runs for 3 weeks straight on a battery that looks like a stick of gum.

Great price on a refurbished ipod that looks and acts like new.
99 just because it sounds interesting (and discovering a new artist that you think is great) is great.
Well, finally got myself to spend $375 and buy the ipod video 60gb.
I bought mine new for $400 dollars, i just saw a 5 gig on sale at the mall for $189 dollars thats half price with twelve times less space!

Itunes was loaded quickly and playing my music in minutes.
The unit i received (and i received it faster than the estimated delivery date) was exactly as advertised.
So i've now got a new ipod after waiting for 5 days, a bit long but that's ok.
Got it a whole day before the expected time frame.
Packaging/appearance
Compact (great packaging), easy to use, great design and so many great accessories to zazz it up, we are thrilled with the ipod.
I love that i can carry my entire music collection with me everywhere in this crazy little box instead of a 50lb cd case.
Other than the fact that it came with only a usb cable and earphones, it was brand new in the box and was just what i ordered.
Once wrapped i put them under the tree and basically forgot about them until christmas.
Competitiveness
As an aside, this is a much better value than the ipod nano, whch maxxes out at 4 gb for just $100 less (i believe).

Ill see if i can get a partial refund to mitigate the costs of purchasing the extra parts needed to repair the system but if thats a no go then its a lesson welllearned
