Pros
We notice a significant difference in our water's flavour, it's very clean tasting. Very clear product description and install instructions.
Highlights
Quality
The filter mount is really well made, and the roughly 17" long filter and 4-5" long filter mount should fit in most spaces.
Easy to install, and the water tastes great.
5 months and i'm pleased to say the water has smelled and tasted perfect the entire time.
I was descaling and cleaning it every weekend and it still broke within a year.
Price
But for everything else, it deserves a 5 stars and the price can't be beat.
An economical under sink cold water filter that works quite well.
I'm spending an additional $30 to fix this which is frustrating.
--perhaps that’s why the replacement filters are pretty pricey.
Shipping
I ended up contacting customer support and they mailed me a replacement in a few days at no charge.
Competitiveness
There are too many unknown brands here on amazon with lots of claims about their filters, but no certifications.
Luckily, as other reviewers have pointed out, there are cheap, and better alternatives to the crappy fittings this thing comes with.
I now know that there are a number of similar filters that use metal tubing and metal connectors.
I'm going to try the fittings recommended by jensen (you can find it more quikly if you look for the reviews with pics).

My citys water doesnt even look for these contaminants in their water quality reports yet

One functional note on installation if the water isnt flowing at your regular rate chances are the filter is overtightened

To fix this leave the water running and loosen the filter slightly until you see normal waterflow return

The water from my refrigerator tastes much better than the tap water from my sink but not as good as bottled water reverse osmosis

The cabinet space above our refrigerator is wasted space wo we placed the filter in this cabinet and drilled a hole large enough for the two 14 water supply lines
