Pros

A truly wonderful start to an amazing adventure. The journey is definitely worth and the series that comes after (fury of a rising dragon) is even better.

The writing style is very endearing. Almost everyone will find a character they can relate to. The imagination of the story line keeps you amazed.

Cons

The characters are written in black and white, bad and good, with very little gray. Events happen that are not realistic. Even at the end, the only conflict still going is that <spoiler>lord of the legion is after them.
