Pros

The arctic silver 5 thermal paste seems like the same quality arctic silver thermal paste i've been using on my cpu and gpu chips. It performs just as well as most of the thermal pastes that come pre-applied to cpu / gpu coolers. Repasted my ps3fat, r...  Read More

Quality

It is always easy to use, easy to spread and has been in my toolbox for computer construction for what seems like 20 years.

Very easy to get out (i usually have problems with other thermal pastes)it goes a great job with temps and works great for repa...  Read More

So i took it apart and replaced the thermal paste with arctic silver, and the temps are down over 10c.

I used this paste when re-seating my i7 cpu after it started to get hot during normal pc use.

Price

This is a good sized tube for a good price and works really well.

I highly recommend this product if you are looking for an affordable and high-quality thermal compound paste.

And the price point is spot on.

It doesn't dry out quickly and isn't very expensive so a single tube is an excellent value.

Competitiveness

I redid the stock stuff on a gaming laptop years ago with a different brand and a pc repair guy i met told told me in the futur...  Read More

The best is only a tiny bit better than this as5.

Getting same performance as thermal grizzley (my usual go to) which surprised me, as this is much cheaper per gram.

It doesnt dry out quickly and isnt very expensive so a single tube is an excellent value

There are higher performing thermal interfaces but most of the time the expense and application effort isnt worth it for me

First off for those that haven’t built a computer before this is “thermal compound” or “thermal grease” it’s used between a processor and a heat sink heat sink fan combo to ensure that the processor can effectively move heat to the heat sink and cool itself down in the process

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It’s main goal is to make sure there’s no air between the processor and heat sink that could “insulate” the processor and cause it to overheat

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

You apply a thin coat to the cpu before you put on the heat sink and away you go

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Arctic silver has always been easy to apply and this is no different
