Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

I like the extreme sturdiness. I have it mounted to a stair railing and it's very sturdy. That's great because cameras are heavy these days.

Even the clamping section that attaches to the camera is made very well. I am more than willing to accept that slight inconvenience to ensure the stability and safety of my equipment while it is on the mount.

The arkon c-clamp video camera mount is a super durable, screw in mount for cameras with quick release. Purchased to hold logitech hd pro webcam c920, 1080p widescreen video calling and recording above my workbench. I use if for overhead youtube video...  Read More

The gooseneck itself is very strong and sturdy. The cons are the wire is very sturdy and difficult to bend.

Arkon’s camera mount adapter has a ball joint that can be freely adjusted and securely tightened. A small piece attaches to the bottom of the camera and then snaps into the mount platform.

Cons

The arm is the farthest thing from bendable. The ball head is too wobbly even when you have tightened it. The cheap plastic can't be tightened enough to keep the camera straight.

I’ve tried several different adjustable arms and none worked well – it was really hard to find an arm that could reliably hold the weight of a fullsized camera

Not sure why it was so hard to find such a sturdy mounting arm if this is in your budget and its length is adequate this is the mounting arm to get

It took only a few minutes to mount the bracket and attach the camera

I put a small piece of cloth on both sides of the clamp so it would not hurt the wood of the crib

The reviews were not kidding when they mentioned that this thing requires allot of effort to bend its like a metal rod
