Theres also a nut to tighten the collar on the back just take care not to go too tight
I also love that i can take it with me and stick it to the windshield in a rented car or the side window so i can watch tv as a passenger into the kitchen and stick it to the fridge or countertops
You dont need the mounting disk just a smooth surface
