I was installing a brand new grounding system for the house and i wanted to upgrade the house bonding situation over the years cable tv satellite and phone installers ran their green grounding wire and ground straps all over the place and it looked very messy and unprofessional

Also it was unsafe if the steel electrical raceway from the pole was ever replaced with pvc then the ground straps would no longer be bonded to ground causing voltage spikes in the houses telecom equipment

One more note the national electric code requires it to be installed in an accessible location meaning it cannot be indoors andor locked
