You can drop it 6 feet in the wall but note receptacle box the part you put where you need to plug into up on the wall and the receiver box the one with the extension cord is hard wired so you would have to take it apart to extend it and should look at a different kit

Flatscreen tvs are so nice and clean hanging on the wall but then you have all of these cables hanging down

Great that it comes prewired but makes it very hard to fish the smaller box through the wall if you have insulation in the wall

Once i located where the top box needed to go make a simple plumb line some thin twine and a washer and tape it to the left or right edge line

Once you cut the holes unravel the power cord and drop in from the top so you can snake down the bottom box
