I had to think for a minute that the intentional tacking of the layers together for about an inch in the middle is for you to grab between your fingers so that it doesnt become a floppy bag

The cloth is thick enough to hold sufficient water for detailed work but for big transfer of the soapy water and large flat surfaces you can use a much bulkier mitt with the numerous tentacles as shown

The mitt is smaller than i expected and not as soft as other mitts i have but it is ok for the orice
