If my hands are wet, i use pliers which i keep in my kitchen anyway. And, clean up was a snap. It is as easy to clean as imaginable. This simplicity of design is why it costs less than other models.

This is a very convenient for steamed vegetable medley. It is much easier to steam veggies with this steamer than on the stove. There is a guide next to the timer that tells how long to set the timer for many foods.

Extremely unhappy with this gadget. It is extremely flimsy and just started rusting after only six months. Appears warped after the last washing in dishwasher.

The tray wall no longer fits. The steamer trays and sides are ridiculously ill fitting and cheap.
