This time i read that a rice washing bowl helps reduce fine starch particulates therefore reducing browning on the bottom

They worry me some but from what i have read there is probably not a real risk at the temperatures this unit uses

The only one i could find without the silicon had rather nebulous reviews and i just went with the familiar
