Pros & Cons
Pros
The netgear orbi mesh router/wi-if connected is connected to the lan port. It also has the ability to use the two ethernet ports as a load balanced pair for 2 mbps throughput. This is a wired-only unit, as i use my own wifi router system, but will pay... Read More
No problem at all installing. The only problem is that it ships with a cat 5e patch cable. In addition, the time to boot on power up is on the order of 2 minutes.
Upgraded my xfinity service to 1gig and needed a new modem with telephony support. The problem is comcast. Com/xfinity and from their website i was able to have them ping my system and diagnose our problem.
Back of your modem and also on the booklet are 2-mac address:1. Open xfinity app and login8. Scroll to new equipment to activate9. Wait for verification (t takes awhile) and activation (takes awhile) hook up, remotely using the app.
Cons
The modem has slow upload speeds and will reboot itself almost every night. Each time this happened had to restart each google wifi device in my mesh. Só another two hours wasted going through their protocol.
I titled this review as the worst modem ever. Piece of *. Performance is tragic and very inconsistent.
You'll be in for a hassle. After spending $220 on this, it's unacceptable. Shame on me for not digging in before purchase.
No one knows whether it is a comcast compatibility problem and or an arris problem. Calling comcast verified that the device was completely unreachable. This product is unstable on comcast xfinity.

Used to replace motorola modem plus a polycom voip box.
I should be getting 1gb/sec, but this is at least as good as the one xfinity supplied (that also had a built-in router, but i h... Read More
I think they make the ones that xfinity leases to customers.
