Pros & Cons
Pros
This is what my high electrical outlet was made for. My house is 1,870 sqft so the main router can easily cover the whole house and garage with up to 490mbps with spectrum ultra internet 400.
Arlo w122 seems to work flawlessly. Eero offers a $18 wall mount but although it doesn’t look that bad…is not as nice looking as the w122.
Arris surfboard max plus mesh ax7800 wi-fi 6 ax router system. All that is needed is to download an app with a device that has an active data plan. Using phone is fine, but a web based config with custom abilities would’ve made this above and beyond.
Spectrum combo modem/router equipment with an arris modem. Now my wifi is reliable throughout the house.
Cons
Satellite not producing more than 80 mbps ever, what use is the gigabit backhaul? Ac wi-fi - theoretically. No customization outside of pretty much changing your wifi name and password.
The device, once configured works fine, but the process to install this product with the mobile app is so bad, i wouldn't recommend buying the product. The app controller is slow and outdated. It's very clunky since it's all phone-based.
I hope that happens, but won't hold my breath. Not satisfied at all.
This is super annoying and ruins the experience. Ordered a new set, same issues, same headache. Reboot it. Forgotten/locked out of your email?
Highlights
Quality
I’m very pleased with the arris w122 and highly recommended.
I am completely satisfied with the speed and coverage of this router.
Unfortunately the mobile app is the only way to interact with the router.
Speed test with modem / router combo provided by them was only 110mb, i bought the aris surf board modem to go with this and wi... Read More
Packaging/appearance
Erro pro 6 was the best to install out of the box.
In 5 weeks of use, i have not had a single disconnect or restart of the ax7800.
Competitiveness
Set up a 3-way mesh network, signal level -40 tp -50db, no more drops, solid wifi connection
Went from a meshforce system to this and my wireless speeds went from about 140mbs to 450mbs.
I'm going to try tp-link deco xe75 pro to see if i'm keeping this arris setup.
