Pros

One ethernet port and no wifi, but a good price. Unit is like new and is functioning flawlessly. A good router goes a long way with faster internet speeds.

It's a great price, and savings to own your own cable modem instead of renting whatever the cable company gives you. They work well, are reliable, and typically low maintenance. Plus it works better and faster speed than the rental one.

Cons

Bug in intel modem chip create a waiting (latency) of 4 seconds or longer for web pages to appear. Both were still assigned to other accounts. Comcast has no means to bypass and reassign. Do a google search on the defective arris 6190 puma chipset.

Pretty easy to install, and pretty good range.

The modem even had clear protective tape on the front display and around the front edges like you get with a new electronic device.

I've been using it for 1 week and so far it's been rock solid.

So i bought this very affordable cable modem.

This is an awesome little modem for the money.

Also, they price gouge the heck out of you the minute your one year contract is up.

It was cheaper than an "untouched" one.

Shipping

No issues providing mac address to isp, came online right away with no issue.

Contacted seller to request a new power cord and was asked for my shipping address for the replacement to be sent right out.

Hopefully it'll be received within the next few days.

Packaging/appearance

The cabling was new and all was neatly tucked into a perfectly sized cardboard box.

It came packaged like a brand new device.

I couldn’t even tell it was refurbished except for the generic packaging and missing user manual, which i didn’t really need.

Decided to pack it up for return, but instead, i then decided to try a different power wire since the one in my box looked old/ damaged.

The arris sb6190 worked well with xfinity internet in the end.

4ghz range than others i've used, but the 5ghz signal strength is a little less than the modem/router its replacing.

Speed has increased by about 20% over the isp's equipment.
