I'm with * cable and this modem is refurbished, yet the mac address had no issues at all, thank god for that. Set up was quick and easy. Username is admin, password is password. The device itself has no defects at all.

The arris surfboard sbg6900 ac1900 is perfect for preferred 100mb plus service. This is a modem and wi-fi router which has awesome speed and very good range. Purchased for use with xfinity wifi from comcast - worked perfectly.

Cons

The wifi on this thing is horribly inconsistent. Once you fix that then it works for an hour and glitches.
