I was looking forward to book 2 but when i found out it was going to take 5 books to finish i decided book 1 ended well enough

It gave a good reference but i felt like the author was describing magic abilities in halves and quarters instead of more descriptive imagery

While eragon follows a traditional hero’s journey with a young protagonist discovering his purpose through an almost magical connection with his dragon ascendant introduces holt—a much grittier more flawed character who doesn’t fit the usual hero mold

I know it says that this is a teenager book but i disagree this is a book for all lovers of fantasy with heroes and villains
