Pros & Cons
Pros
They are well worth the shekels. In terms of durability, expect to get around 4 years of nearly daily use. I owned a previous pair of asolo's for about 22 years.
The styling is sharp, garnering compliments wherever i go. The laces are easily adjusted for different levels of snugness in phalanges, metatarsal, and tarsal areas.
There is really no other brand that provides the same level of sturdiness, support, and comfort. My single complaint is that it's a bit pricey.
Cons
I am an avid hiker and veteran who is disappointed with the product and customer service. Not a huge deal but not a confidence builder on fulfillment. Called asolo and was told the warranty is only 2 years and i’d need proof of purchase because they d... Read More
Half of the front vibram sole of the right boot had fallen off (like a tongue) the insoles are like thin pieces of perforated paper that are very uncomfortable. The soles of this boot are horrible on wet rock, like dangerously horrible. The boots them... Read More
Both laces are sheared off on the same metal loop. Sole material might as well be teflon. Ankle support is no match for the stiffness of the sole.
Highlights
Quality
Asolo makes a high quality product… have been wearing them for decades.
They are very reliable, really waterproof and feel just great on my feet.
This is my second pair of these boots, however, in the first pair the soles delaminated catastrophically in the first 90 days.
Completely changed the way the boot walked and it hurt my feet after one day .
Price
So much to love at a very reasonable price.
Yes they're a little expensive but overall i have zero complaints and would highly recommend!

Competitiveness
The build quality of this boot appears very good; much better than similarly priced boots.
It was hard to part with $100 more than any close competitor.
I have found that european shoes generally fit me better because of the euro sizing.
Lots of companies are outsourcing to southeast asia nowadays.
