Pros & Cons
Pros
Wireless dolby headphone with built-in mic. Xbox instantly recognises these headphones and you don't even need to use the free 2 year access code in the box. Sound is crisp and clear.
Comfort is the best in class. They are just squishy but still stay on my head. The range of the headphones allows me to walk around almost my entire flat, with doors closed. Also if you need a head set for someone hard of hearing (for the telly), they... Read More
Cons
The only thing i like about this headset is the sound quality of the headphones, which are accurate and well balanced, as long as you use the neutral studio eq preset, not the crazy astro preset that is enabled out of the box. Horrible microphone with... Read More
Most of the times i only have voice sound and game sound disappear completely, i need to restart few times console and headset. The headset shows up as 2 audio output devices *and* 2 input audio devices in windows, which is confusing. It's impossible ... Read More
The astro a50 is overpriced at £300. Not really acceptable on a £300 set of headphones. For a headset costing over £200 the lack of quality is shocking.

Competitiveness
They are lighter than my steelseries pros as well.
Microphone is crystal clear, and everyone says i sound better on this vs my steelseries or my razers.
Now that you know i have a 1-year of experience with these i hope to some extent you can trust my words.
I have had steelseries arctis wireless, wired (pros, which i use on my work computer now), razer wired and wireless and more.
