Bought this as part of my build using a amd fx9590 and handles it perfectly without issues, great board, performs like a dream.
I have a fx9590 in mine and 2 gtx780 ti's.
The first was that it had to be able to handle 200w tdp which my fx9590 cpu produces.

Also you have full control over the extreme digi engine ii which allows you to control digital power delivery to the various components like cpu northbridge and mem power delivery to dial in those extreme overclocks to enhance your overclock compatibility

Works perfect with my new buildamd fx 959032gb of corsair vengeance pro series ddr3corsair force series ls 120gb2tb hddcorsair cx750and as for temps i use the cooler master seidon 120v liquid cooler and 5 corsair ml120 pro led series case fans to keep it nice and coolcpu temps idle at a stable 29c and full load stables at 42c you wont get these temps off the bat you will need to tweak your fans using the onboard software ai suite or 3rd party software but ai suite that comes with this board ive found works best with this build

I have a 25 performance boost but i can be sure how much is board gpu or processor but my amd 7970ghz is now not bottle necking

I also had a problem with software for sata ports 7 and 8 a word of warning when i installed them i got bsod if you try it i suggest you open a spare user account driest because i couldnt load windows in safe mode

I did a great deal of investigation reading around others write ups and reviews and opted for a non intel based system based upon the asus motherboard route primarily for the support offered online
