I purchased this gpu recently when it was on sale for 499 wadditional 20 rebate i upgraded from 2 gigabyte gtx 570 ocd windforces in sli the reason i upgraded was due to heat from the sli setup the top card in the sli setup was reaching near 80c and if i was messing with the fan settings it could get even hotter

I also had to rma one of the cards due to a chip simply falling off the card

The fps for a game like planetside2 is more affected by the number of players on the maps and cpu resource constraints than the graphics card itself

On other games like max payne 3 or borderlands 2 i get significantly morei read a lot of people suggesting to go sli but i cant really recommend it games have to have sli profiles to get much use out of it and on the nvidia geforce

Com site there are literally only 11 games listed under optimized settings gtx 570 sli

If you have the money for it then absolutely without a doubt get the asus gtx 680
