Pros

Nice layout, sturdy pcie slots, memory insertion is a snap. This board runs my i7-7700k flawlessly. As expected from asus, a truly fantastic motherboard.

Plenty of usb and sata on-board. Free merchandise, dvd with all the drivers and utilities. Installation tool to place your cpu in without damaging any pins.

Cons

Asus customer service is so embarrassing that it has broken my trust with the company. Didn't tell me, just cowardly refunded 50%. Stay away from the strix line and asus in general. Asus makes nothing but incompatible generic junk now. Buy a new retai... Read More

I built my first pc with this and i was super impressed with the quality and design.

Rgb lighting connectors work perfect with the cheap chinese strips as well.

I really had to fidget with it in order to get the ports to line up with the io shield.

Price

Prime member so this made it a great price.

Competitiveness

I have it working perfectly with standard cpu clock with a ddr4-3000 overclock.

Bestest strongest motherboard ever bought still working perfectly with an a i7 7700k overclocked to 5.

Used in a new pc build, which was new with a 7700k and a 1080 at the time.

Purchased it for my wife’s gaming computer.
