The quality of the materials are excellent.
Static electricity builds up over time and does not discharge fast enough.
I bought the product around two months ago and my trackpad has decided to stop working completely.

This laptop had great reviews for the price and i really enjoyed it.
Exactly what i was looking for and at a great price.
It’s lightweight and for the price not bad.
Found this with easy monthly plan to help pay for it.
Competitiveness
This asus is the same size, weighs a bit less, has a similar bright hd screen and runs fine on battery.
I returned several other brands because of noises and heat.
Looked elsewhere for same product and no one could touch amazon's prime deal for this product.
But, we tested it against my husband's work laptop and his mac and they all were significantly better than the one on the asus.

This is a known issue that asus will not fix

However you can fix the issue by watching a tutorial on youtube by putting some aluminum foil in the right spot to dissipate the static
