Pros

I find the options and ui of this router to be excellent though i am a techie so you may feel like it's too much. Firmware updates via the app.

Traditional wood and drywall structure. I have a larger home that is an expanded cape which can make for tricky wifi. This is fairly involved, so grab a beer and have a seat. Very easy to install.

Free lifetime subscription to antivirus protection is a huge savings vs the $70 a year netgear makes you fork out, just to have a functional firewall. It provides proactive ips/ids packet inspection.

Signal strength ranges from -55dbm to -63dbm. The usable wifi 6 signal from this one is about 30% greater in distance than wifi 5 of my old one. It has a 5+ ghz backhaul frequency.

Adding the node was a little problematic. There was minor shipping damage to the box itself. Went through the steps to diagnose the problem with “alibaba tech support’.

Cons

The native firmware on these routers is non-functional. No router functionality at all in the cable modem. If you're looking for a router that gives you speed on wi-fi this is not it.

Both units need to be rebooted. It sets itself as the dns server 100% of the time, but it has a very small cache so 10% of all dns queries timeout the first time.

The router app and user interface are fantastic so it’s a shame that the firmware itself doesn’t work well. There's no excuse for them not having a device they authorized to have built with their name on it in their system.

Called asus. Fully undisclosed. It's completely dead. Piece of junk. These are absolute garbage!

This product promise so much, lots of bling and lights etc. But this router is just garbage. What is point of giving allot of function when it doesn't work well.
