Asus sabertooth z87 is a sweet piece and i would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid motherboard for an upgrade or new build. Bought this motherboard as the foundation for a new build desktop. Couldn't be happier.

Tuff fortifier is something i wish all mobos had. Overclocked just fine for not being advertised as an overclockers preferred choice mobo. The bios/uefi is great and packed full of features and offers extreme features to overclock your cpu.

Gigabyte ga-x58a-ud3r with an i7 used to blue screen from sleep mode also. System:mobo - asus sabertooth z87cpu - intel core i7 4770k @ 4. Os win 7 pro sp1 64. Using it with the i-5 processor. I have a i7 4th gen, and ssd drive and 32 gb of ram.

After installation and 6 months of ownership, i cant think of a single bad thing.

Price

This motherboard was a great deal at the time i purchased.

Overall, this is a good value and really, really looks cool to show off if you are in to that sort of thing.

My pc is on 24/7 so it's not a big deal.

Jan 21/2014 update:ok, got sent my replacement board from amazon a few days ago, and this time everything was in the box.

To start, the item was out of stock for several days, but i patiently waited since i ordered right after christmas.

Packaging/appearance

Looks:i personally love the dark armor look of my mother board.

This board looks awesome in my lovely corsair 650d!

So i moved the mb from the box and found the manual, so i looked thru what was in the box, and found a crap load of items missing.

Competitiveness

This was the easiest mobo to setup.

This board was such an upgrade compared to my old asus motherboard that held my 1st gen i7.

I tried different drives from ssds (ocz and samsung) to hdd (western digital to samsung).

Haswell runs hotter when overclocked compared to sandy bridge and a tiny bit worse than ivy bridge.
