Pros

You should know first and foremost, once you have this little guy up and running, it works like a charm. The stability is just insane. Installation is very straight forward. My only concern is that it get's warm on touch after 10min plug in.

Using the 5 ghz band is where this adapter really shines. Signal is strong, and upload and download speeds are great. Currently getting about 90 mbps download and 9.

All devices at home have strong and fast wifi connection. Over 70 feet from router and full strength through a floor and kitchen. My pooter is above the router in the room below about 20 feet away.

Cons

It keeps connecting and disconnecting for no reason. Knowing it can go fast makes the disconnections/drops to zero immensely irritating.

The only way to get it to work again is to unplug and replug it in. Sometimes it says that no device is plugged into my usb port.

Product is advertised as a dual-band wireless receiver. It is defective, the drivers do not work and it has the potential to destroy your computer.

My son doesn’t even have to direct connect because this signal is so strong for his gaming.

Evidently there must be a noise or signal quality issue that develops going through the usb cable from the device.

Price

This is not for gaming if you can afford a good pcie adapter.

I was hesitant to pay that much for an adapter, but for this kind of connection i didn't want to skimp and it is worth it.

Don't even bother with asus' software, as it seemed to have caused more trouble than it helped.

So i did a few more connection tests between the two adapters for comparisons.
