Note the extra 2gb gpu memory is nice to have as far as “future proofing” however the extra 2gb wont always translate into better performance across the board it depends what you are doing with the laptop

The dell configuration that matches the 1399 i paid for mine gets you an i5 cpu 5400 gb hd and 1080p not even a comparable configuration

But realize many of those reviews also take a “you get what you pay for approach” and tout the apple and dell as a better overall build quality and things like the xps display not as glossy and better chassis smaller footprint are why the dell and apple cost more
