Pros & Cons
Pros
Ateco’s 18-inch disposable decorating bags are easy to use and load. The texture of this bag is tacky, perfect for smooth piping tips. The size is perfect for big icing jobs.
They are made of durable polyethylene. Strong and sturdy.
Cons
Too small to do much decorating (and too small to refill very easily) sticky film around the outside layer of the roll. Even removing thm/pulling them off the roll is difficult they stick!
Bags are too stretchy, bags left overnight stretches out and tips/ couplers come out. It defeats the purpose of having an 18” bag when you have to cut off such a large amount to fit large tips or a coupler.
It was probably returned and then just resent to me. Returning them asap. Cannot be reused. Will not buy again.
The bags are sticky (in a damp powdered way) and weird to work with. The film makes it hard to get the bags out of the box and also does not make it easy to move your hand down the bag as you are frosting cookies or cakes. Yea, and dirty, like dirt on... Read More
Highlights
Quality
They are sturdy, strong, good size for what i need, and just overall a great quality!
This product it’s strong i loved for storage, heavy strong .
Compacted into a roll, thick material and very large!
The last thing i have time for is a bag of buttercream exploding all over a cake, cookie or cupcake.
Price
It’s a good value and the dispenser box is really nice!
Not necessarily the cheapest, but definitely the best - remember, you get what you pay for!
Packaging/appearance
While it's a 100-pcs pack, it is very compact, and the box dispenser is handy;2.
I assume it is to keep the bags compact in packaging.
Competitiveness
And at a much better price than other brands!
About 1 year ago i bought 21 inch piping bags from ateco and never been disappointed with them.
I have tried several other brands, but i always come back to ateco when i need a disposable bag.
The ateco brand piping bags are my number one choice.
