Pros & Cons
Pros
I have a budding love affair with ateco. The rolling pin is truly round, with no flaws in shape or in the wood.
The length is perfect and generous enough for rolling out a large rectangle of dough. Recommend using it with a good pastry board. It's just the size i needed to roll out pie and cookie dough.
Smooth motions are considerably easier and i don't stub my knuckles or burn my forearms trying for a consistent roll. All it takes is a good wipe down with a damp cloth to clean (no submerging in the dishwater--again, who knew) easy to clearn.
Smooth and beautifully crafted. Finish is smooth and retains a sprinkling of four well.
Cons
Pin arrived with a made in canada sticker right in the center/middle of rolling pin. This much out of true is totally inadequate for rolling thin sheets of dough to aprox 1. No pastry sizers that will ever fit this cheap thin light cheap pin!
Highlights
Quality
She was very pleased with the french rolling pin.
Wonderful quality rolling pin, exactly as described.
I am not sure what the stain could be from, since i only use this on dough; be that as it may, i am satisfied with the product overall.
Great item, good quality, strong yet light to maneuver.
Packaging/appearance
It washed easily without scuffing the wood when washing the sticky tag off.
Competitiveness
Comes in a ziplock bag for storage which is a nice bonus.
Seems to be an excellent, well-made product.
