My suggestion is to attach the bottom shelf on last after turning it over on its back where it lays flat

Only use a phillips head screwdriver do not use a power screwdriver you do not need it and you will get better results by not over torquing it

If not careful you can break wood while putting together would not trust around kids unless attached to wall if sitting on carpet
