Pros & Cons
Pros
The a6pf runs android 10 so it has a bunch of common android apps already installed. It comes with an external gps antenna to enable the onboard navigation system to be fully self sufficient. The radio works great, all features are 100%.
Band equalizer makes tuning your sound quality quite easy.
New head unit seems to be working fine albeit the summer months are over so can't really test the new head unit everyday. The customer service is also commendable. Had a few questions for atoto and had prompt replies from their customer support team.
The wiring harness is very well labeled.
The screen is bright enough to be 100% usable even on the brightest and sunniest days. The touchscreen feels snappy, image and audio quality is great. My android phone syncs to it in seconds.
Highlights
Quality
Excellent sound quality, quick boot time, wireless car play works like a charm.
The audio quality is superb with no complaints.
So a simple crimping process took place before i even got to the car part of this.
I just went to a shop and borrowed an extra kit for the 5 seconds it took to unclip the radio.
Price
Overall for the price i am very very impressed.
If you can find this unit for about $250 i would highly recommend.
Don't waste your money on slightly cheaper radios.
Unless you want to know how to install decks (which is easy to learn via youtube), just pay an installer.
Shipping
I did have a support question and the response was very thorough and i received it very fast.
I experienced one small issue and the customer service dept was quick to respond with recommendations and solutions!
I had a issue with the radio and i contacted via email atoto and i got a exceptional customer service for lancy.
Competitiveness
In the past i've had head units from sony, kenwood, jbl priced upwards of 800$ and this +/- 300$ radio is better in every way.
Honestly, i’m very happy with what i got, and the total price was still under that of stereos from more popular brands.
Comparing the sound coming from this versus the original 2004 head-unit is basically comparing apples to oranges.
Second, there are (2) confusing apps, carlink and carbitlinkcar link is the app that is used for carplay/androidauto.
