Quality
Steering wheel controls work, sound quality is great, speakerphone is great.
So far i found no differences with the wired functionality: - maps works with no delays nor difference in how it's shown.
Price
Atoto is actually a chinese company, but they seem to cater to the japanese market.
Competitiveness
Note that wireless carplay, by design uses both wifi and bluetooth.
I like the reliability of the wired carplay but i wanted the convenience of wireless.

It will read the firmware version on the unit and offer the corresponding upgrade if available among other things like opening a support request which will also include some data from the box
