Pros
Bubinga has beautiful contrasting grain (as shown) while the maple shows very little grain. A little heavy but the build quality is top notch. Really exspensive is the only bummer.

The sound quality for me is great.
First, the sound is what other reviews have mentioned - open, excellent vocals and imaging, tight bass.
The sound seems to be distortion free at all volume levels (including concert level).

Not a huge deal for some but i actually needed this as i do most of my listening from my computer.

Just received these a few days ago.
Packaging/appearance
However, i was underwhelmed by two things:1) the package i recieved was missing the 1/4" to 1/8" adapter.

2) the product pictures on amazon (and most other sites) show the headphones with bubinga wood cups.
Compared to the t5p, the lcd-xc sounds alive (energetic/sparkly are other ways to describe it).
I own sony mdr-z1r, sennheiser hd800 and 800s, ie800s, shure se846, and a few more.
