The at831cw is an excellent lav mic. It's much fuller, the tinnyness is gone, and feedback issues have been eliminated. The unidirectional pick up pattern really keeps away feedback. Great lapel mic - crystal clear with lots of depth.

If youre running an audiotechnica 2000 or 3000 series lav mic rig and dont want to setup a 31channel eq everywhere you use it this is the mic for you

Ive spoken with an audio technica factory engineer and he suggests sending them in for repair which i have done but the cost can be almost the same as a new one plus time and shipping fees
