Good Sound Quality
Customers have mixed opinions about the sound quality of these mid-size open back dynamic stereo headphones, but generally positive. Most agree that they offer good sound for their price point, with clear voices and distinct background sounds. Some find them a bit muddy or not up to par with higher end headphones, but overall satisfied with their purchase.
Highlights
Quality
They fit well, sound decent, and are reasonably durable.
They have the best sound quality of any headphones i've ever used.
Parts can break, and the thin plastic coating over the ear pads disintegrates into flakes after a few years.
Even the big puffy headphones that look good, that you make think will give you a phat sound still fall short of the power and ... Read More
Price
These indeed are really great for the price.
Holds its own with headphones up to $150.
I can't justify paying more than $25 for a headset right now.
Just like the $20 sony headphones that went out of production that now cost $100 +.
Packaging/appearance
Professional packaging, very happy with these mid-size headphones.
Not much to look at, but for me that's a plus, as i didn't want a set that looked like princess leia's side-buns - i.
They also come with a nice long cord and a 1/4" stereo adapter.
Competitiveness
To be honest, the sound from these cans do not compare to my sennheiser px100's.
They are the least competent of all the cans i own but they should not be compared to m50s or the like.
One advantage of the m2x over the more expensive bose: the bose are flimsy.

The one drawback for me and the reason i dinged it a star is that the cord is really far too long
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
It is a cord for someone who may have a little recording or mixing studio and who needs to move around a lot in it or for someone who likes to listen to music from an older source like a cd player and the player is across the room

So for some the long cord is an advantage

I cant use these on a treadmill or on a walk or in a gym without winding part of the length up and tieing it

The cord might have been better if it was shorter accompanied by a separate connectable extension

I wanted some affordable lightweight headphones with good sound that would be easy to wear half over my ears if i wanted to be aware of the sounds around me as well as what im listening to in the phones
