Pros
They're not as accurate as my old crown pcc but they're a third of the price so it's a no-brainer for most applications. This is not my go-to brand but i am not disappointed at all. Would recommend to others.
For a $100 mic, this includes the replaceable cable (not molded-in hardwired) so the most fragile part is replaceable. If you don't need a mixer, the neewer 1-channel 48v phantom power supply is an inexpensive way to power the mic.
Cons
It is cheaply made and feels like a toy not a mic. Horrid experience. This is not for non-esoteric uses.

We could not afford over the ear microphones for the 9 cast members.

It would be nice if these came with a case as they are small and could easily get lost in a bag of equipment.
Competitiveness
Sounds better than the older more expensive larger model.
They're better than the 20+ year old pzms they replaced.
At any rate, the mic is much better than the stock mic in the computer.
It's not at all comparable to their 851 microphone which is much fuller sounding, but it holds its own.

I have used up to 18 of these patched through automated mixers and then into either a large venue audio conferencing device or into a simple external sound card which then hooks into the clients laptop via usb
