Great clear customizable sound, but also be a respectful neighbor. They actually fill up the room with lovely pure sounds reproduced as the artist intended.
Cons
Not worth the cost to drive 70 miles to an electronics repair shop and pay a non-refundable diagnostic fee. This has been a nightmare, there is basically not any way to contact them. Will be contacting support from audioengine.
My $20 ivation bluetooth waterproof wireless speaker with a 3 woofer sounds better than these. Very noticeably on heavy metal music, where that frequency range is accentuated anyway. Those speakers are true mini-maggies.

In my honest opinion, you will need a separate powered subwoofer, nothing crazy, they come packaged meticulously.
Competitiveness
To get better computer speakers you'd probably have to pay a lot more and they'd either be too loud or less of a deal for the money.

There is even a separate dac built in to the system that operates from usb via a pc connection if you desire
