Updatebeing an audiophile put myself to the task with a series of tests and have recently found out one of the speakers its out of phase what this means is that the polarity is inverted so the speaker pulls instead of kicking out as it should be i am not sure if this is done intentionally from the factory or just human mistake speakers out of phase will present a series of issues such as lack of bottom end poor imaging and muddy highs since this is a ported speaker proper phasing is crucial for optimum bass reflex i will get my tools reverse it and give it another shot before it fails its audition

About two weeks ago the speakers started popping and cutting out and no it is not that im too far away from the speaker or interference issues the speaker just times to give up and drops the audio it will still show connected under usb devices and happens with my phone tablet and computer this is going back to audio engine i sure hope they dont make these anymore and get something newer or a better revision perhaps worst 300 spent on a speaker ever

Note that this is not considered a portable speaker since 1 its heavy 2 doesnt have a rechargeable battery and 3 the controls are in the back and not easily accessible

At first i thought the marshall units were high quality and sounded great but they each had a very frustrating array of technical glitches and quirks that made them impossible to own
