Natural would be the most apt word to describe the hd6 audioengine. They fill a small to midsized room with excellent sound. When they let them loose they definitely shake the walls.

There was a little harshness in some of the higher sounds coming out of the tweeter, but not enough to detract from the listening experience. Sound reproduction is excellent, the highs are crisp and any volume.

The audioengine remote is a lovely solid brushed steel with some heft to it. Volume is controlled via a knob on the speaker or by the remote. Craftsmanship is great, albeit slightly contrived in its over-engineering.

Cons

Louder equates to more distortion. One speaker is powered and the other is passive. They both should be separately powered or each passive.

I think these are a good value at $700, mainly due to how clean the sound is.

While these are expensive speakers, they sound great.

Man oh man did this gamble pay off.

Was looking at a kef that was almost double the cost, but these are fine for me.

They got here in two days, are well packaged, premium finish and a snap to set up with everything included.

The support team sent me a new amp, no questions, ask and even picked up the cost on shipping for me.
