I did have to pull mine out a little and then tighten it again because it was hitting the dash in my car when all the way down

Also once you put it in its a little bit of a job to take it back out

So if you put this in a backseat in an armrest cup holder to put the armrest back up its going to take a little bit of work to get the holder out every time you want to put that up and down
