This can transmit and receive bluetooth if both devices are not bluetooth you can make them both bluetooth with this device but you will need to buy 1 for each device

There is a noticeable hum when it is plugged into usb to charge while transmitting audio simultaneously

The hum goes away as soon as you unplug the usb cable and run off of the battery
