I didnt use the ones that came with it but it is a nice touch you can use this for travelling if you wantcons the light will roll on a table the battery carrier is a bit tight in the housing this means no rattling but it can be a bit annoying to have to change batteries you can disassemble the fronttop light housing which is nice but the build underneath doesnt appear to be very good the threading of the front and back assembly is sosonote lightly pressing the lightswitch will only momentarily toggle the light onoff more like flicker

You wont need it for normal day use buy it comes in handy when you travel as said by the product description you can use it to see bugs and other thing that hard to detect by naked eyes
