After the install i plugged in the device with the supplied usb cable and downloaded an update file from the autel website.
I had a faulty code which wasn't identified by autel - $7e9.

Ive tried other plug in obd2 bluetooth devices in the past and had poor results didnt work with iphone and needed specific android software hence i bought this all in one device

Ill be honest i couldnt be bothered to upgrade the firmware on the unit and just plugged it in and ran the obd2 function

I was able to discover and clear error codes without issue and it was good to see that the errors came up with a description so i didnt have to run to the internet to interpret the output
