I am definitely happy with the al539.
Works good for us, not too overly technical or hard to use.
Quality product, rated well in terms of accuracy and features.
It will be up to you to do further diagnostic to determine root cause for the dtc.

It was able to read codes from all cars and reset them on the honda (no other car had codes to reset)super easy to use, price was right.

Purchased the ml629 as a replacement for my older and outdated autel ms509 scanner.
This is my first obd2 scanner and bought based on someone's else review.
It shows all the live data an obd2 codes we tested.
Only 1/10 cars weren’t detected (01 honda accord) other than that!

If you try to update multiple meters on the same user account you will find the previous scanners will no longer work showing serial number error
