Pros

Good price point and relatively easy to operate. Simple plug and play. User manual easy to understand.

Worked like a champ. Should have purchased it sooner. Saved me a ton of money by pointing out the issue. Don't do it if asked.

For the average person trying to keep an older vehicle on the road and not get scammed by a repair shop, this is a no-brainer. Wish it had more robust abs capability but the 629 is a great addition to my tool chest.

Bought this scanner because of an srs light on my 2002 honda accord. Was able to reset an airbag light on 2007 kia rondo. Used it on my 2006 silverado for an air bag light.

Downloadable software and a provided usb cable allows you to connect the scanner to your pc/mac and export saved scans as well as print the scan reports. Nice and compact for a bunch of features.

Cons

My scanner was manufactured 1/21. Doesn't read the abs codes for toyota. The ford dtcs are not available for any year newer than 2012.

Failed to find device when connecting to my macbook pro usingmacos catalina. Downloading the program on my pc was impossible too.

I already had $100 ecu scan tool, which detected a fault but couldn't clear this light.

The price point is great for a shade tree mechanic.

My local dealer wanted to charge me double what this cost just to read the fault and then another $50 to reset the warning.

The delivery person dropped off the device around 6 am.
